Today's over heard conversation
Today I was in the hall way at the conservatory and I over heard two freshmen talking
Girl 1- You know, Some people learned solfege completely different than me. SOme people do it Do, Re, Mi; while others do it Do, Re, Me.
Girl 2- .......Thats because that's the minor solfege.
Me- ::bangs head on wall::
Now, I understand that theory is a hard concept for some, and believe me, I will atest to that! I failed diatonic and am Re-taking it. But if she passes this year, her ear training class is going to be so hard if she didn't notice that Do Re Me sounded different than Do Re Mi.
Oh my god.
I laughed so hard.
Ok, Time to get back to hard hard work!
