A Tribute to a Friend Departed
Four years ago today a beautiful young girl took her own life. While the reason behind it is still shrouded in some mystery the impact is very clear. Hundreds of people were packed into a church for her funeral, so much so that there was barely any standing room and they left the church doors open so people outside could hear the service. Everyone was crying. Young. Old. Men. Women. Everyone. You touched so many lives in your short years and in our few years of friendship you touched my heart. You were always a warm and caring person to everyone which is why your death was taken so hard by the community. No one saw it coming. I wish I had told you that friday before break when we were in study hall together that I loved you. You were a true friend, someone that could always be relied on and I miss having that in my life almost as much as I miss you. I know you will never read these words but I hope that you can hear them in my thoughts. You were amazing. I wish you were able to see what I and so many others did when we looked at you. I miss you.
