I really want to do more cold foam work. Someday I want to make a feline mold as well as some of the LARP races. *nods* I really would love to sell painted half masks. They are faster for me to create, easier for folks to wear, and they open me up to a whole new group of people. Plus, half masks make awesome starting points for masked balls and cosplay.
But, I must first find the time to create the molds and do all of the research. I'd need to see what would sell (LARP wise), and who was already making masks of that sort. I'd hate to sculpt something then look and realize that it is too similar to an existing product. (One of the reasons I had Redstorm's fox masks printed out and right next to me when I was sculpting my fox mold. I purposefully tweaked my design to make sure it wasn't too similar to something that was already out there.)
List of things I want to make:
Fox/kitsune/coyote half mask
big cat half mask
small cat half mask (?)
dragon half mask
Phoenix/bird
wolf
Foo dog
I already have two horse masks and a fox face, but none of them are really LARP friendly as they have a bottom jaw.
All of these would have spaces to customize with things like different ears, different teeth, horns, etc.

In other news, I finally have chased some of the black widows out of my shop and am getting ready to get back to work. I normally don't work in my "shop" (it's a greenhouse) during the summer as it is only hospitable for periods of 30-45 minutes at a time. But, as I don't really ahve access to my room right now I'll make due with what I can manage., I've got a head that needs to be finished soon, and a pile of potential commissions that I have not yet accepted.
Back to work!
