Here is a screenshot of my old icons. Please excuse the photobucket label. I made these for dmhg_icontest using fotografix program. I had trouble with oversharpening my images or leaving them too blurry. When blending two caps, I struggled with keeping them the same resolution (example: icon 006 has one cap blurry while the other is sharp).
NOW
I now use GIMP with my graphics. After reading tutorials, these are some of my current icons. I am now taking risks in coloring and experimenting with the sharpen and unsharp features of GIMP. I still struggle with icons so I tend to make larger graphics like tumblr graphics (the triptych or 3 images) and picspams.
