Challenge 14-20: Then Vs. Now
I had to dig deep to find these since the communities where they were posted probably don't exist anymore. But I (barely) remembered my Photobucket login, so I managed to recover these truly awful icons from around 2004. They're among the first I made and truly are B.A.D.

I'm not even sure what program I used, probably Windows Paint or something. Back then I was actually pretty proud of these - they seemed like successful first steps. It wasn't until I got a decent graphics program and read some tutorials that I started to improve.

I've been making graphics for over 15 years now and it took me a few years to find techniques that work for me, to find a way of coloring images properly, to grow more confident with cropping, adding text and textures and accents, and experimenting with different styles.
