I really have nothing to update about so I'm just going to update about Japan a little bit.
We plan on visiting:
Tokyo: Visit schools, meet japanese government, discover the life of a sumo wrestler, explore the city, visit the Asakusa Kannon Temple and the Nakamise Market, journey to Mt. Fuji
Gifu and Takayama: stay for 3-4 days with a host family and experience japanese culture first hand, step back in time and visit a reproduction of an ancient farming village
Kyoto: visit Sanjusangendo Hall, Nijo castle, Golden Pavilion, see the landscape of Kyoto; home of 1600 temples and shrines, learn about the life of the geisha, explore the historic Himeji Castle
Hiroshima: Witness reminders of WWII and the memorials to those whose died, learn how the city has become a voice for peace around the world, travel by ferry to Miyajima; an island and sacred ground to the Shinto religion
These are just some of the things that are included in the itinerary for when I go to Japan.
On another note, I didnt make the volleyball team which surprised everyone. It didnt surprise me though because coach Nicky had her favorites. But there was a twist to the whole thing later on. Eastland only had 4-5 people that tryed out so they took all the players that didnt make it from roseville and are having them tryout for their team. Then, the teams are no longer Eastland and Roseville teams. They are now the high schools Freshmen team and we just have two. A black team and a red team. Tryouts are this week and I think that I'm doing really well. And the coach seems really nice. Instead of keeping 15 players though like all the others teams are, he's only keeping 12. I'll update again on whether or not I made the team. If I do, I cant wait to see coach Nickey's face when we play her team. It will be like a slap in the face.
Me and Steve-O are doing great. He is seriously the greatest boyfriend anyone could ask for. He is so sweet. He means everything to me. I mean, everytime someone mentions his name, I cant help but smile and my heart races and everytime I see him, I get butterflies. Still, to this day and we've been going out for almost 3 months. I love it. I couldnt ask for anything more.
