Oh Look, Shiny!

It's a surprising thing but I recently realized that Get Backers has managed to hold my attention longer than any other fandom since...Beyblade, I think. And Beyblade was my first fandom, back when I was still thirteen years old and at the height of my fangirl-glory (okay, that's not true. I still fangirl, just differently).

But anyway, if I finish all the stories for Get Backers (that's one finished, two WIPs and one planned) that will definitely be the most I've written for one fandom since Beyblade. Because when it comes to fandoms I have the attention span of a five-year old in a toy store and I want to be everywhere at once and thus never actually get to sit down and produce anything.

But then, I never get really, really involved in any fandoms. I don't know why, it just happens that way. I write fanfic, I read fanfic and I review fanfic and that's usally as far as my participation goes. It's not that I don't want to...but I'm shy.

It has it's positive sides too, because I remain largely shielded from all kind of stupidness that goes on in a fandom. No ship-wars, no dumb insults, it all kind of blows past me. On the other hand, I miss all sorts of fun discussions and exchanges. hummmm...

I've been abusing italics ever since I discovered the short-cut key.

get backers gets its own tag, fandom-hopping is what i do, fandom: i spend time there
