I am so glad Elijah asked Orli about Veronica. Still wondering what the ring thing was but the whole thing with the phone calls he ignored and the sister screaming at him...hee...oh well, happy for Elijah! Punched in the gut...*whimpers* You add these little touches that show the abuse he has taken.
Their discussions are so raw and honest, fearful of lies and hurt, desperate for love and understanding and faith. "contemplating the oil and water mix of love and reason" So simply put but it is the basis for it all between what is considered a machine to the world and human...or real. Elijah is as real as one can be, but not and he is so sad about it. He wants to be real. Those moments like Elijah snickering and saying "imagine being Ron right now?" and Orlando's horror in imagining...Elijah is real. THEN...the Company calls and splashes cold water and fear on their dreamworld. Bless Orlando though..."Glad that there is too much life in you, so much that you can't even suppress it." Orlando treats Elijah like he is at a hospital and he is protecting him. I wonder how amazing it is to Orli to hear Elijah become "vacant" for the testers and knowing it is all an act. Showing again, how real Elijah is. I missed the fish in the lab. It had a sad feeling to me with them gone. Making it scarier for Elijah.
The moment Orlando sees the pain on Elijah's face with the needle being inserted and brilliantly calls them out on it is fantastic. I loved him for it. Poor Dom, he felt so bad. I can't help but wonder if Dom will be involved some more. He cares about Elijah too and would always be a good alligh.
The ending, the love, Elijah's happiness, the wicked cute banter, the last moment "Its amazing how three little words can make him feel so alive; he returns them with ferver." *chokes back a tear reading it again* I LOVE IT. He is happy. Now Elijah either needs an aging program or Orlando needs the fountain of youth so no one would know Elijah was a realistic.

The ring was something Veronica had give Orlando as a keepsake. It hadn't mattered to him so he didn't think to take it off. Of course it mattered to Elijah *pets him* Elijah is so very happy and I am too! So happy that you're enjoying it! *hugs you* More soon! :D <3

omg, forget what i wrote to you about the ring. I? Am a dumbass! *snorts* I also changed the story since and, well, it's been so long I forgot that I changed the bit about the ring. You'll find out as soon as I post this next part. (I'm working on it now *g*) lols @ self! :P

I am just going by the story you posted. I never knew anything else about the ring. I was just as curious and annoyed as Elijah was about that thing dangling from his neck. He got rid of it this last chapter. It was probably something he took from veronica and said he would wear it around his neck...knowing it would be gone, soon. But, I was curious. I was thinking about you too! So I knew I had to post. My layout was all messed up and I was waiting to see if I could get it fixed before posting (I didn't know if it would screw up the post) anyway, I finally just reverted to the default and posted :D. *hugs*
