From the beginning, I was in love with the apparent changes in Elijah. His love of swearing. The way he was frustrated with that ship but relaxed and busy. He has so much emotion. The visual of him pouncing on Orlando (who I was SO GLAD to see returned) and rubbing himself on him, all the packages and pictures everywhere.
It is as if Orlando’s gaze has weight, substance, and he can feel it on his naked thighs, lingering on the jut of his rigid cock, before sweeping to his belly button, his nipples, pausing briefly to linger on his mouth before finally making eye contact.
Orlando grins wickedly; then leers, “They look great off you.”
For the first time in his existence Elijah’s desire is his own." YES!!!
I felt this as Elijah was experiencing it. The words were heavy and full. Elijah's awakening. But, there is sadness to this also. After the tremendous sex which I can never get enough of. The way Elijah really lost control and the adorable "Suh..sorry" he nervously stuttered out making Orlando love him more (cause he was so real). But then cold water was splashed on me as I read this "the faint traces of perfume and a fine silver chain with a thick ring dangling from the end." NOOOOO. I wondered what that gift was and hurt for Elijah, understood his bitterness and the comment that followed. I was also surprised because he said the words outloud. Then another new emotion, jealousy. I wanted to know what the necklace meant to Orlando, why he smelled of her perfume. I know he said he would never leave Elijah again and that he came home to him, but the logic that Elijah lays out to him after, of all the lies and ultimately, that he will be alone in his life, again, was heartwrenching. The lifetimes Elijah has experienced. The degradation and having to accept it. The pain. Kept in basements, abused horribly. The part about Karl made me teary because it was so bad he wouldn't let himself go there and they would not return him. David was his first experience in closeness but not like Orlando. Orlando is the one who is making him real and who could destroy him forever. He is a tragic being desperate for love. Orlando is too I think. This moment makes me whimper...
“I’m not a people. I’m not real.”
“It’s what’s in here,” Elijah feels Orlando’s fingers press against his chest, “and here.” Orlando touches his forehead, “that counts.”
Elijah has nothing but wires as far as he knows, “But I-“ He stops when he sees the amused grin on Orli’s face.
“I couldn’t fall in love with something that wasn’t real, Elijah. Let’s just... leave it at that, okay?”
Elijah nods. He still doesn’t believe it, not wholly, not fully, but his hopeful heart won’t be denied."

hee! I had to have Elijah have a love for swearing lol. And that pounce ... that was taken right from that great Orlijah crotchmash vid clip. At least that's how I pictured it *happy sighs*

Poor Elijah, he's been through so much *pets him*. And after all this time he is finally getting to be himself. I am really and truly honored that you are enjoying this so much!! *hugs & adores you* <3
