What type of government do we have?

One question I would like to ask any presidential candidate is, "What system of government do we have, a democracy or constitutional republic? And what are the differences?"

See how many of them get it right.

How about we just ask the first part and kill anyone who gets it wrong. People who at least know what type it is (or is supposed to be) get to live, but if they don't know the difference have to drop out.

I just get so freaking irked when I hear our elected politicians talk about democracy. If we had one, they wouldn't be elected, now, would they?

Hell, I'd love to ask that up here (Albeit with Monarchy replacing Republic).

You'd be shocked how many non-Americans are equally clueless about what sort of system they actually live under.
