Anise is dead; long live Martouf IV!
... my laptop died over the weekend, like, right in the middle of a sentence for a writerverse BINGO prompt. blink,blink,blink went the curser - @#$&! went the hard-drive, and I was all : "Khaaaaan!"
So, now I have Martouf the Fourth. HP something or other with 15 inch monitor and a 10-key lurking on the side. The touch-me-and-shit-happens-pad.... Just. Just, everything keeps scrolling, up and down and then in and out and WHY?
So Martouf IV is both bigger and meaner than Anise - which was a nice little Acer Aspire One that owed me nothing, not even loyalty after I unceremoniously tossed her down the stairs one week into partnership - and I've gone from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and that transition has me all : "Khaaaan!" when things go wrong (and things are going wrong). So, we'll see.
Microsoft Edge is weird. I'm so used to Google Chrome that I've no idea what to do, I haven't used MS's enternet explorer for years. And it's so boxy. Like, is it supposed to be this retro-Apple?
And oh. Cortana. I... I don't even know. Kudos to the Halo sprite and all, but who. Slow down there Skynet. Let me catch up.
