Rant: OFC/SI
Okay, Damn. Can I admit to a weakness for genre-savvy OFCharacters that are competently written without sounding like a raging Mary-Sue-Shipper? Because I’m not. Honest. And I really hate (hate with burning passion) when the cannon is messed up in a half-ass fashion-- as in, rewritten so that names and physical features are changed for SI’s that don’t actually change anything? Like, own up to it people, change cannon. Mess about with time. Remember causality. Be daring.
You want to be a Companion for the Doctor? A Post-War (9th) Doctor Companion? Awesome. Go for it.
No need to re-watch the episode “Rose” for a script; just make up your own meeting of your SI. Have Autons, if you really need/want. But you really don’t need to have your SI swing on a change to save the alien. Why is she on a chain, anyway? Why is she rescuing Mickey?
What do you mean, she knows Mickey?

Didn’t you just establish that she’s from our universe and DrWho is something on BBC?
What do you mean she’s been implanted as Rose’s sister/cousin/next-door-neighbor?
