Holy shit! Rick Springfield is on The View. I used to LOVELOVELOVE him when I was a kid. Seriously. Love. He was one of my absolute pre-teen heartthrobs. Him and Shawn Cassidy and Rex Smith. Then Matt Dillon, then Jon Bon Jovi. Then I discovered actual real life boys, and well... I didn't re-discover my inner geek until much later in life, as you guys know. *G*
Anyway, hearing Rick talk about his terrible struggle with depression is sort of inspiring. You never really think about your childhood heroes having the same issues as you do, you know? I mean, unless you write fanfic about them. ;)

I am SO glad that some things went a little smoother for SamCro this week. The unending parade of misery was starting to get to be a little much. Not that they're out of the woods yet by ANY stretch of the imagination. I mean, you know Stahl isn't shooting from the hip -- she's selling out her lover? WTF? (I'm also more than a little BOO! on the Evil Lesbian trope, but...) Methhead Skinner is back, and you KNOW that's not good. The crap with the sheriff, the mayor and his campaign. PLUS they still have to go to Ireland and deal with that crap. And Gemma isn't totally free yet either. So... smooth today, probably rough again next week!

favourite episode: Well, IWRY for obvious reasons -- and profound Angel-the-character reasons, imo. But I also love flashback episodes that give insight into Angel's past, like Somnambulist, The Prodigal, Are You Now or Have You Other Been, Dear Boy, Darla, etc.
favourite episode: What's My Line 1 & 2, tied with Becoming 1&2 (I consider each half really part of one episode.) The former, I think, contains all the elements that constitute a classic BtVS episode (plus it contains the first B/A scene I ever saw, and that initially sucked me into the show). Becoming? Is just a beautiful freaking piece of television. That ending... nothing on TV has ever torn me apart like the ending of Becoming Part 2. I was spoiled, unfortunately, to Angel's inevitable return (because it came out he was getting his own show) so I can't even imagine what a mess I would have been if I hadn't been! STILL I was depressed for weeks afterward.
