Good day, darlings! For a completely weird and creepy start to your day, how about some baffling Twitlight merchandise? Okay, Twihards, are you seriously so lacking in imagination that you can't just buy a plain old dildo and IMAGINE that it's Edward or Jacob or whoever? It always worked for me and Angel.

UGH! WHY IS THERE EVEN A US "VERSION" OF BEING HUMAN WHEN THE ORIGINAL IS PERFECTLY WONDERFUL? Sorry, but the vast majority of "US Versions" of BBC shows SUCK.

You know, in the journey toward better health in the last few months, I've had a very strict bed time (with an hour or so between then and Lights Out for reading) and rising time. It's helped a lot in keeping me slightly more sane than I've historically been. Well, right now I'm freaking EXHAUSTED because for the past three or four days, I've been reading THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, and once I start reading it, I can't seem to put it down. The story is just totally engrossing, and I ADORE Salandar. Seriously. Anybody else hae this kind of experience with this book? I'm really looking forward to the rest of the book, but MAN, I need to get my sleep back on schedule!

A side note on the still-on-my-shit-list True Blood: does nobody else REALLY see the fatal flaw in Sookie/Bill? And I'm not talking about the snuff porn scene with Lorena, either. Nobody sees what's been coming from episode one? What Russell Edgington was practically spelling out on a chalkboard for us?

*shrug* I have to remember if I stay aboard to STOP READING ANYBODY ELSE'S OPINON OUTSIDE MY FRIENDS'. How have I not learned this lesson by now? It's been 12 freaking years!

Anyhoo...

I've been watching Season 1 of The Vampire Diaries, which I just... didn't really pay much attention to first run, but right now I'm desperate for some new vampire action. Anyway... WTF is up with Ian Somerhalder's HAIR? Is that a wig or did something die on his head? I mean, yeah, he's still hot, but ouch with the hair!

Oh, okay, they fix it in a few episodes. Anyway, I just mainlined the whole season in like, two days, and OMG I can't believe that cliffhanger! I'm definitely going to have to add it to my viewing schedule in the fall. Good stuff! Not the tweeny soap I had been fearing the CW would make it. Lots of creepy and complicated plotlines and history to keep me engaged, and... Ian Somerhalder! David Anders! And the fella who plays Stefan ain't exactly ugly. AND I actually don't loathe the actress who plays Elena, plus she's very much the ANTI-BELLA, which makes me very happy. Girl's got some nads.

So for those of you who have been telling me to watch since the beginning, you were totally right. I'm not giving up Bones, but I'm on for the ride.
