Drabble Prompt #24 - 2 True Blood Drabbles

Ten seconds was all Eric required to turn her into mush. If there were anyone who dared, he would bet an enormous amount of money on it. Sookie may not yet technically be his lover, but tonight -- this particular ten seconds -- would be a major step in that direction. One simple moment.
"You asked about my past," he said quietly, letting his business-hard expression soften. "It is not a happy story, but... I will tell you if you wish."
Sookie lay a gentle hand on his shoulder, and he was glad that she could not read his mind.

She was terrified to sleep. What if she wasn't a vampire at all, but instead this was Hell -- eternal punishment for a lifetime of refusing to honor her father, and all those impure thoughts!
"Jessica!"
Hoyt, trying to be quiet though Bill was out somewhere, and she could hear him even if he whispered her name. She opened the window and smiled down at him.
"I just wanted to say good ni--morning. I love you." He blew a kiss and she could imagine it, soft and warm on her cheek.
"I love you, Hoyt."
Now she could sleep.
