I wish I could keep this mood in a bottle...

And snort it on most other days. *G* I believe this mood is directly related to the fact that my parents are off at a doctor's appointment, and I'm on my own. One of the things that's difficult with my mom is that she wants all the chores done on her time schedule -- which is usually RIGHT NOW, whenever that is, and whatever else you might be in the middle of. It's really stressful for someone like me, who moves slowly... if at all. But the way I get the chores done is a little at a time. Vacuum, watch TV, dishes, eat lunch, laundry, get on the internet, etc. It all gets done by the end of the day, but I guess that make my mom anxious. I don't really blame her. I mean, if I get thrown off track somehow, or distracted by something, only the basic stuff like dishes and garbage will get done.

My name is Ducks, and I'm a clutter slob. I just don't get freaked out that there's a pile of books next to the TV that I haven't found shelf space for yet. It's dusted! But for my mom, that's like the end of the frickin world. How the hell she's lived with my dad for 40 years is beyond me, because I got my clutterbug genes directly from him.

and that's the Ducks' House Family TMI for today.

I have to confess, although I'm not a particular Austen fan... I mean, I like her and all, but I'm not a huge fan like some of my friends are. Neither am I a freak for zombies -- although, who doesn't love zombies? Besides my mother, who wouldn't allow a copy of Night of the Living Dead into our house while I was growing up. Apparently, after my dad took her to the theater to see that creepy classic, she had nightmares for years.

ANYWAY I can't WAIT to read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Classic Regency Romance - Now with Ultraviolent Zombie Mayhem!
by Seth Grahame-Smith... and, of course, Ms. Austen. It comes out April 1, if you're interested. Just as a taste, I read that the prim Austen crowd call the zombies "unmentionables," because "zombie" is considered an impolite word. LOL. I can hardly wait. I need to get down to my library and get on the waiting list!

Hee hee. My friend suricattus pointed this out: http://marikasurinen.com/sculptures_main.html

There is no appropriately describing them, you have to go look. I especially recommend "My Little Slave Princess Leia" for a good laugh and a wiggins all at once.

So, I actually started working on The Slightly Less Shitty Second Draft of THE SANG today. It's a freaking miracle, since I haven't written more than a few sucky words since NaNo. Do you get to keep calling yourself a writer if you never write anything? I'm actually thinking about writing some fic just to unrust the writing joints. Since moscow_watcher made me feel all guilty, the first thing I have to think about finishing is Rise. Which is only fair, since I posted it as part of IWRY two years ago, and never finished.

Truth is, I'm not sure how to end it. *ponders*

Man, there are a lot of movies that have or are coming out on DVD that I want to see! Am I the only freak who's dying to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua? It looks adorable. And not like any of the stars DIE which is what I usually hate about animal movies.

So, hey, if you haven't voted in my What Should Ducks Read Next Poll, please hurry, it's almost time for bed! *G* Right now, there's a threeway tie!
