LOL. Spike, man. He was so awesome before he got a soul. When he goes barelling out of Sunnydale at the end of Lover's Walk, bellowing "My Way"? So quintessential.
And Wanker Wesley! Hee. So good. You know, about halfway through Season 2, I completely forgot to keep taking notes. I get too engrossed in the stories to waste time writing stuff down.
OMG weird -- in Bad Girls, when Buffy discovers that every time she says Faith's name, Xander's eye twitches, it's the very eye he loses in Season 7.
Ooh! In Consequences, Willow is totally wearing a "Highway 420" tee-shirt under her overalls. For those of you unfamiliar with the slang, 420 is a term meaning "to smoka da ganga". Supposedly, it comes from police codes. Now, Willow doesn't really strike me as the weed type... but Oz? Maybe.
And remember: The pep rally is a place for pseudo-prostitutes to provoke men into a sexual frenzy, which when thwarted, leads to pointless athletic competition.
Also: hee that Sunndale's student paper has an obituary section.

So a friend of mine sent me the first five issues of the Buffy comic, so I could read them myself without actually spending any money that I don't have and certainly don't want Whedon to have. Dudes, it's really good. I mean, as I've said before, I'm not a fan of the comic storytelling form -- it's too much for my little brain to process words, pictures, and insert emotion, tone, and all the other human stuff that's lost on the page. I end up having to read the pages two or three times to put everything together and get a real feeling for what's going on. My best friend S says that it takes practice, and after a while, it's just habit. I suppose that's true, but my other problem is getting little bits of story once a month. I can barely handle weekly television! I'm a novel girl -- I want the whole story all at once, dammit!
Anyway, setting aside the format, and the fact that I really miss the actors, the stories are really good so far. I can't imagine how they'll keep being so sharp once Joss stops writing them, but... for right now, I'm really enjoying it. The potential for fic here is amazing!
For anybody who's still wondering what a thricewise is, but doesn't read Whedonesque frequently (which includes me). Someone provided the answer here. He's a figure in Norse mythology.
