Finally, a Doctor Who dream!

I don't remember exactly what was happening, just that I had arrived with the Doctor - and I think captaincadet  was there as well - in this town; we were sort of in an outdoor mall or something. Anyway, we saw some people running around frantically, and others just sort of trudging along in a zombie-like state, and the people running were warning us to get out and not to touch any of the zombie-people. Of course, because it's the Doctor, we don't just leave when something weird and kind of terrifying is happening, no! We had to look around and figure out what was going on.

It wasn't too difficult to avoid the zombie-like people because they moved so slowly, though one started coming right at me, and there was no way for me to fight it off without touching it, and I thought I was going to die, but I think the Doctor did something with his sonic screwdriver to scare it away. It was probably just freaked out by the blue light. It was starting to get a little freakier, because - in zombie-style - they had a tendency to head towards those of us who were more life-like, I guess, and if one touched you, you would become like them. But they weren't actually zombies, really, because they weren't dead. But they also weren't human, at that point.

I didn't fully understand what they were, but it was kind of like the episode with the hospital in New New York, except the infected people didn't look any different, and you would just become one of them instead of disintegrating or whatever happened in that episode. Yet, somehow, I knew that becoming one of them would be really, really bad. I think it somehow involved being possessed by something alien, kind of like the Vashta Nerada in the suits - except the person isn't dead, exactly.

There was this one storefront that was offering a safe place to stay for uninfected humans, so we went in there. They had this staircase to the basement at the back, and you had to show ID to get in to prove you were still human. I have no idea how that proved anything, but I had my student card, and the Doctor made some comment about how student cards the most useful thing in the world. It was funny at the time, IDK. He obviously used his psychic paper. At this point, though, I think Sharmie had gone off somewhere else, because she ran into a friend of hers, and they decided they were going to go catch a bus out of town. Even though we had been told this was happening all over the area, so all the towns were also infected. But she felt it would be better than sticking around so...that's what she did.

I remember it was pretty funny when I handed my card to the young woman checking the IDs, because you had to make sure you didn't touch her hand when you handed over the card, in case you were actually infected but pretending to not be. Because apparently they were learning, and were starting to be able to behave more human-like. Anyway, when we got down into the basement, it was really strange and there was something like a shallow ball-pit covering the entire floor, and people just hanging out on beanbag chairs and stuff. We talk to the man who owned the store and sort of interrogated him about what was going on, and why he had set up this space, and that sort of stuff. Most of it was over my head, because I would make a terrible companion.

Then it got more TV-like, because I saw clips of other things happening in the "show" - like a couple of the "infected" people (I don't really know what to call them) who were probably possessed by the alien leaders, were watching everything, and making some sort of plan, probably to invade the human-only space. One of them was really good at mimicking humans, so he posed as a health and safety inspector coming to make sure the place met safety regulations. Because I was also watching the show, though, I knew that he was an impostor, but no one else did. I told the Doctor about it and we slipped out of there before the guy could start "converting" everyone. I don't know why we didn't try to help or anything, but I don't think the Doctor had any idea what to do at this point.

Then he got distracted because there was a knocking sound and this two-way mirror in the upper part of the store lit up so we could see into the other room - there was the Master, half-tied up, knocking on the glass. One-two-three-four, one-two-three-four. And the Doctor is all freaking out now cause he's like "OH NOES, MY BBF IS IN TRUBBLES!" and runs out of the store, presumably to go to the adjacent store. But then the "mirror" flickers and goes snowy like a video screen, and I see (in show-watching mode) that the Master is in a room elsewhere, that is completely sealed up and just has a two-way video monitor, and now someone is talking to him and laughing evilly and it is...THE GUY WHO'S RUNNING THE HUMAN SAFE BASEMENT THINGY? WHAA? Yes, because apparently he's the real villain of the piece...and now that I think of it, he was probably in cahoots with that "Safety Inspector" guy.

At this point, I don't really know what to do, because the Doctor's left, there's about to be a mob of alien-people coming up from the basement, there are still mobs of them outside, and I have this new information that the Doctor might think was important but no way of telling him. I even pulled out my phone but then realized I didn't have his number. So I start thinking if there is a way I can fix it myself, like maybe if there's some sort of broadcast tower (a la Idiot's Lantern) that is controlling them with a signal that I could change...but I have no bloody idea, and I wouldn't even know what to do if that were the case.

Yeah, so around 8am, which is when I wanted to get up, I was still just waiting around for the Doctor to save me before I got killed by aliens, so I just decided to keep sleeping and hoped it would sort itself out. But the dream sort of morphed. I think maybe the Doctor did return, but there was a bunch of stuff missing in between, and I just know that I was like waiting by the door of this house we were in, because we needed to leave, and he was busy tinkering with stuff, and I was really anxious because we really needed to leave NOW, and I don't really know what was happening. Then someone tried to break into the house by taking the front door off its hinges, so I opened the door and yelled at them (I don't think they realized anyone was home). I said, and I believe this is verbatim, "I swear to god I will call the fucking cops if you don't get out of here!" But it sounded way more threatening when I was screaming it. Basically, I was so fed up of everything that was going on, it was like some hooligans trying to break into the house was the last straw (as if it wouldn't be so bad had I been having a good day). And then they asked me if I had any booze they could take. :/

Yeah, just really strange dream, and I just felt really anxious and agitated all night, so I don't feel like I really got much rest. Blah.
