"Sunday Afternoon Delight"

Jun 27, 2004 20:52

Once upon a time there were two girls named Alina and Lydia. It was a gorgeously sunny and warm Sunday and Lydia had a hankering for adventure. She called up Alina and said,"Alina, would you like to come over and do something?" and Alina said,"yes Lydia, that would be swell!" So Lydia picked Alina up (in her CAR, not bodily or anything) and brought her over to Jamestown for a fun-filled day. And this is what came to pass:

Lydia got her brother Spencer to row her and Alina all the way from the marina to the Newport bridge. Spencer enjoyed it because he likes to keep his muscles up to par and bask in the glow that comments such as "WOW Spencer you're ripped!" produce. They all sang songs such as "Tutti Fruity," "Afternoon Delight," "Come Go with Me," "Shut De Door," and the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto. All-in-all, a lovely excursion.

The mode of transportation for our three adventurers switched as the oars were abandoned for bicycles. A leisurely ride to Fort Wetherill was taken and snorkeling and sunbathing followed.

The three then watched Lord of the Rings the Two Towers, ate dinner, then tried the new Iced Latte things at Dunkin Donuts. They decided they were pretty tasty. Lydia then brought the animal Alina home (after nearly "pulling a Travis" aka driving over a curb). After a safe return trip, Spencer and she took a quick walk down to the docks where Lydia was shown a night heron by Spencer and that is the end of this story.
