Join Cruzio as we celebrate our debut First Fridays event in our new, LEED-certified office space at 877 Cedar Street (formerly the Sentinel Building). Our state-of-the-art facility features 5.000 sq. ft. of coworking space, onsite data center and ultra high-speed fiberoptic Internet. Five artists affiliated with the UCSC Digital Arts and New Media MFA program collaborate to infuse the space with technology-based media installations. Working in a variety of media including sound, light, video and sculpture, these artists will transform the Cruzio workspace into an interactive artistic experience for First Friday participants of all ages. This cutting-edge collection of artwork brings to light new ideas and techniques in digital art, emphasizing a sense of community and participation. These notions mirror the intention of Cruzio’s innovative workspace as it becomes a space of communication and collaboration in Santa Cruz’s high-tech culture.
