'sup friends?!
i had a a rough morning (read: my alarm didn't go off, so i was super late for work, then in the hours i had to work alone it was bussier than the cafe has been in the last two weeks combined), but the rest of my day has gotten better. i found out (thx allison's mom) that my computer battery was recalled in april! YAY! new battery for freeeeee. staff meeting for kwva this afternoon, and i still have to make a few phone calls and do... work.
things to look forward to in the next few days:
-SNAKES ON A PLANE tomorrow night!
-omgomg STYX (yeah, Mr. Roboto, Come Sail Away) is playing at the Lane County Fair, and we are totally going on friday. yeehaw!
-elaine is throwing me, corina, paul and jethro a birthday party sometime this weekend
-jessie and andrew are coming to see me on sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and whisking me home! and then of course that is only the beginning. the next week we're going to irvine/la area, then i'm off to san diego to rendez vous with patrick. then we're driving back to the bay, then to the eug!
last weekend we: went to see annie get your gun, that our friend moses was in (kind of like eugene's version on SRT). then we got taco bell and beer and watched austin powers (I and II). saturday cj came down from corvallis and we went to a children's theater production of the Bunnicula books (we were big fans in middle school- of the books, and bunnies in general). that night we hosted another concert ot our house, and it was fun but it was quite a small party. that doesn't mean it wasn't fun, though. on sunday cj helped me move my futon to the garage of our house in pdx. it was a good one.
random story: there's a starbucks here in eugene that is frequented by a biker gang. burly old men with leather chaps and jeckets and harleys, drinking lattes. haha!
also: there is major raod construction going on on my street. right now they're in the process of digging a tremendous hole. it looks really funny, and/or like a lot of fun. to be explored? maybe...
