caution: moment of INTENSE bragging

so i got invited to join phi beta kappa, and i feel really good about this because i didn't go through college focused on the goal of winning awards or excelling at anything besides enjoying myself/learning for myself about things that interest me. i never made a choice to take a class or involve myself in anything because it would "look good" somewhere. and reading the criteria upon which i was chosen, it's just sort of validating to think that my priorities are reflected in this institution. not that it would change anything, but it just feels nice. natural.

quick edit: is it more exciting that i'm in the same honor society as bill clinton, stephen sondheim, or rivers cuomo? i can't decide. hahahahahahahaha
