well, it's been a while!
Hello, flist! What's going on? I miss you all!
- This happened a month or so ago, but I was too busy running around the lab to post it. croissantkatie did a nice podfic of my fic let's burn this world down (Merlin AU, Morgana/Morgause) that you can find here. This was the very first time I'd listened to podfic (or any sort of audio book-related material), so it was a new thing for me. But it's pretty cool, and if you like podfic, go check it out!
- How awesome was The Avengers? I mean, I have some nitpicky things about it that I didn't like - like how Tony Stark, as awesome as he was, seemed to dominate the whole movie, and how I didn't really get the sense that they had really bonded as a team, or that they didn't get along to begin with - but overall, how much fun was it?! And how can you not ship anyone in that movie? Seriously. Tony/Steve. Tony/Bruce. TONY WITH EVERYBODY. And how awesome was the Black Widow? I'm making a Black Widow mix; just need to prepare the cover art, and then maybe I'll post it later this week.

- I'm also looking forward to a bunch of shows this fall, including:
The Goodwin Games looks like it's going to be really good Becki Newton's face notwithstanding; I only hope the show itself is just as good (if not better than) the trailer!
The Mindy Project - I love Mindy Kaling, and though I thought the trailer was a little weak, I have faith in her and am looking forward to this show.
- Other Shows: Elementary, though it seems a little too much like Sherlock for my tastes. Not that I don't like Sherlock - it's actually because I do like it that makes me wary of Elementary. Also, 666 Park Avenue seems interesting. Like a mix of Gossip Girl and... I don't know, some thriller. Partners and The New Normal also seem like they're going to be funny shows. Speaking of those last two... Since we're getting a lot of gay male representation, are we going to see more lesbians on TV this fall? Or genderqueer characters?

What I really enjoy about this series is how the Natasha and Pepper relationship (and how Natasha in general) is handled. You don't get a lot of it, but it's nice to see nonetheless.
