Tinhuviel
As you might have heard if you're involved in LJ Idol, tinhuviel (season one winner) is in hospital at the moment. I was planning on sending over some flowers and then a friend pointed out that it might be nicer if there was a more collective effort so that when she's feeling a bit better, she'll have something more permanent as a reminder that she is loved by lots of people. So I thought that a Kindle might be a good idea - it will last her much longer than her hospital visit and I am reliably informed that she doesn't have one. A basic Kindle is $69 and a cover is anything between $15-30. I figure that if there's any money left over, I'd put that into vouchers so that she can stock up on books of her choice.
If anyone wants to donate, my PayPal address is sales@fey-publishing.com and I'll be collecting money for a few days until I hear that she's out of ICU and able to receive gifts. If we don't get enough money for a Kindle (and I really, really hope we do), then I will arrange for the biggest, baddest most kick ass bunch of flowers I can instead.
All contributors will obviously be named in the accompanying card and any donation, no matter how small will be very gratefully received. Tin is a very talented lady and one very special person - I think it would mean a great deal to her to know that she is in our thoughts.
