Well, its been a while since ive updated this properly so here we go.
Lately lifes been good. Things are finally starting to turn the right way up again. The band recorded on the weekend, im so happy with the outcome.
Ive spent a long long time sitting back and noticing all the changes in my life mostly in the way of friends.
On saturday night i went to my friends 20th, and nearly everyone there was on pills. I left there 30 minutes after arriving with a bitter taste in my mouth, because all of my friends who used to be against all that are now so into it they dont know what to do with themselves. There was a time were our dirtbikes and the smell of track dust and 2 stroke was the only drug we needed, and slowly that all changed, they all now LOVE raving and hard drugs like speed and ecstacy.
It made me sad because i didnt recognise any of the people i used to know.
The softest drink available was beer, as everyone was hooking into the absinth that was available.
So i worked the party for a while, chatting to old friends about what there doing with there lives. They were all surprised to hear that ive been clean for over a year and a half now. They were shocked to learn that i havent even been drunk in that time.
I saw a couple of faces i didnt neccesarily want to see, and in light of recent events felt very awkward talking to them.
My friend ash, the driver of the car which crashed and killed my close mate kyle, got 5 years jail for neglegent driving resulting in death and injury, his first parole hearing is in 2 and a half years.
It pissed me off when will called me straight after the sentencing because kyles parents didnt want him to serve any time in prison, and begged the jury and judge to not send him away.
The band is going awsome, we recorded 2 tracks yesterday and finished the night off with one mastered, which is available for download on our myspace (www.myspace.com/audreyroserock)
Im glad that we are finally heading in a straight line, although problems with slajan are still arising.
Those who have me on myspace will know my dog sparky, my best friend of 13 years was put down recently. It was fucking tough letting her go, but she was old and in alot of pain.
Its hard to let go, because for 13 years sparky was always happy to see me, she was always there when i needed cheering up. In 5 minutes that was all taken away by 500ml of drain cleaner looking liquid.
Im glad that she didnt have to suffer for a long time though, like some humans do for years.
Im off to adelaide in october with one dead dream and bind.torture.kill for swinefest so that will be an awsome few days, ill hopefully get to catch up with some friends and have an awsome time away from the hell hole melbourne can be.
