hump day

Jul 26, 2006 11:35

heh heh heh...i typed hump. ^_^

well i've been a busy bun this morning. i have a sizeable rushed wedding order to attend to but its for a friend (her sister actually) so i always feel good about doing stuff for friends. i got all the silk dyed and hanging outside drying at the moment.

i took care of boring business paperwork this morning as well. i shot out some faxes made some calls...dang its almost like i'm working in an office again. lol!!!

next on my to do after lunch is go out and do some gardening. i have some unruly flowers at the moment, it kinda looks like a jungle.
every time i leave montana i get inspired to do yard work. mainly because my MIL subscribes to the best magazine on the planet (which I should also) i've yapped about it before but if you haven't checked it out please do: Mary Jane's Farm. The magazine has the best articles on organic living and old fashioned crafts and other great things. Its an ad free magazine too! I got involved with their travelling journal too a while back:

my MIL and i plan to do their farmgirl retreat thingie someday. no electricity and just classes on organic gardening and organic foods.

speaking of montana here are some of my window shots from the road:
upon entering we passed through one of the forest fires in drummond, montana:

its so sad to see all those trees on fire. :(

nuthin' but big sky:

the engineer of this train actually tooted his horn when we honked and waved at him- that doens't happen much here in the city:

i love road trips almost mainly for the fact that there is so much odd shit to see- from a distance this looked like a mad scientist giantico hat of sorts:

there was much weirder stuff but my pictures are kinda blurred...
and last but not least. forgive for i have sinned. mcdonald's is pure evil and i continue to preach that but we stopped and picked up breakfast on the way out of montana. (bad, bad, bad!!! and i felt dirty after eating it-blech) but i did find it amuzing to see this sign posted right outside the drive thru:

okay better get to lunch!

montana, basic, gardening
