update as i cook dinner...
well i finally completed my stuff for the home of the sampler style lounge stuff (MTV). whew!!! i was up till 4am primping and fussing over crap. (i'll post pics later). one thing i did learn from all of this work and effort going into this thing-i am going to need sooooooo many supplies for bumbershoot. i simply cannot have enough kimono fabric, silk to dye & all those other little bits & charms at this point. i have one more rummage to do for the summer then i'll be a slave to bumbershoot till its over. so i'm getting boxes from japan almost constantly. which is fun but intimidating because when i have SO many supplies i dunno where to begin first. i did get this awesomely awesome from my friend naomi with tons of little crafty supplies from kyoto. (again i'll have to post pictures later).
so i am excited for
mariethebee & the sampler to be represented so widely in the near future. i'm proud to have been part of the sampler for this long and it has brought so many opportunities & friendships my way. ^___^ go sampler go!!! (can you tell i'm feeling amazing about having my stuff done for that!?!?!?)
all my focus will be on bumbershoot like i said. i have so many rules i have to adhere to so that's a little stressing and all the technical set up and other admin stuff. i'll just be taking it as it comes and hiring people as i go. also in business news- i've decided to only take on a selected number of custom orders from here on out. i just have a tight schedule for the next few months. :(
i took a little break this morning to hang out with my mama's.
its been sooooo freaking nice out i can't stand it. who says it rains in seattle all the time? i really adore my group of mama's.i wish i had more time these days to be involved in all the little things going on. i'm really looking forward to a couple things this summer with a handful of us.
in derby news. i had an awesomely awesome fall the other night. we were doing faux bouting and i was jammer and a girl fell and i tripped over her and i went face first. i did the classic ass up in the air move-i didn't even realize that my helmet hit the floor till i got up. lol!!! i heart my helmet!!! things are progressing with our league which is so awesome. i'm looking forward to practice tonight.
yet more derby- i'll be volunteering for RCRG on saturday (if i figure out where the new hangar is...) and i will have my daughter & her best friend cheering on the sockit wenches. (it's jina's birthday present). i'm gonna be all tacky and get them matching hoodies and stuff.
well that is the latest. pictures & crafty stuff a little later. i'm making pancit canton right now.
