Info for locals: next week's birthdays

Apr 15, 2010 08:41

Andi birthday, Earth Day, my birthday c-c-c-combo! The later half of next week is going to be lousy with celebrations. I guess if I were the sort, I'd be kicking off the party on 4/20, but I have better things to do than toke it up and spend the rest of the afternoon looking for pictures in the spackle.

Andi's birthday is on Wednesday and we'll be celebrating on the following Saturday at Bo's parents' house. Locals are welcome to attend, but there will be several toddlers there. If you want to dodge rugrats for free pizza and birthday cake, you are more than welcome to attend!

My birthday is on Friday and that may be our (only chance) to get out this week if we care to celebrate. I'm thinking mini golf and either Texas Roadhouse (steakhouse) or Kokopelli's (Mexican). Anyone know any good mini golf in the area besides Paradise Park and Cool Crest? You know, one that won't be an hour drive. FAILING mini golf, I was considering bowling in the P&L Dist.

As an early observation of Earth Day, I'm planting a hojillion seeds. I may go around the neighborhood and pick up trash if the weather is nice.

So:

Andi's Birthday
Theme: Yo Gabba Gabba
Where: Bo's Parents' house (contact if you need directions)
When: 4pm (after naptime) winding up before 6pm most likely

Gift ideas: Andi's turning 3, but she gets pretty bored with toys aimed at her age level. She loves books (Llama Llama, Skippyjonjones, Sesame Street, Yo Gabba Gabba, School Zone books, beginning readers). On that note, she needs a bookshelf for all her books. I'd recommend things like sidewalk chalk, bubbles, playground balls, puzzles (9-50 pieces), lacing beads, puppets for little hands... Melissa and Doug brand has some great toys! They're really sturdy.

Andi's an ace on the computer and just in to her beginning reading. If you find some good learning software for Preschoolers/Kindergarten she'll get lots of play out of that.

She needs some summer clothes. She's wearing 4T tops and 3T bottoms right now and looks like she's about out of her bottoms because she's so tall. Dark colors and orange don't suit her very well, but just about everything else seems fair. In shoes, she's wearing size 8 and pushing size 9. What else? Oh, she loves hats and she's just getting in to dress-up.

We've just about got her covered on movies, but she does love children's music CDs and light classical. (She can point out her favorite Schubert song in a few notes XD )

Any questions or ideas, give me a ping.

birthday, andi, me
