I've been burned out lately. I think a good portion of that has to do with trying to keep up with the tiny tyrant. The rest of it has probably just been because I've felt out of touch with creative communities, with no real energy to transition back in to one. I just feel like I'm floundering. I've been wanting to work, but with no inspiration to do anything really different. That may or may not change when I participate in sketch-a-day with
croaky next month.
There are several things on my to-do list. Some, like finishing my Halloween costume, need my immediate attention. Other things like getting the house prepped for sale have come to a grinding halt with other incidental things seeming to take precedence. It's making me really antsy. I don't think the house market it all that great to begin with, but who wants to move in the winter? Plus, I don't look forward to having to keep the house constantly tidy for showing.
We need to get moving on that, though.
On the up side, commission money means I can buy mini me some winter clothes. We got a nice reprieve in the early chill. It feels good to get fresh air in the house, though I think the temperature's dropping again today.
Richard's birthday is coming up this weekend. That'll be a welcome change of pace. The Bo Ling's/bowling combo will be a hoot.
Even though I don't really have the blocks of time or desire to spend my time playing video games anymore, I looking forward to watching Bo play through some upcoming titles. This time of year is always awesome for new releases. This year in particular might not be as frustratingly flooded as some years, but that gives players more time to pace out their spending/time commitments. Me? I'm still batting Dissidia around. I have more Shade Impulse to finish but I got stuck in a grinding pattern. I'm still stupidly happy with this game, even though it's got all the deep, meaningful dialogue of a half-assed fanfic drabble. It is for the fans, and the characters in which I'm interested, really got some great characterization.
Mm, characters and art. Thinking about it, Muramasa: Demon Blade finally has a character with a bodytype I can cosplay :D Raijin is so beefy and aggro. I just want to roll all over her mounds of muscle. There isn't much art in that game that doesn't make my pants happy.
And that's all for now.
