Is it really considered work when I enjoy these sexy redheads so much? Freya took me quite a bit longer than I would've expected her to. I think all the little details on the swords cost me a bit of time. The girl's a bit bristling with weapons, isn't she? And Tao was just a pleasure to draw with all that skin showing :9 Sexy elf~ It struck me earlier, but I forgot to confirm it, Tao's colors remind me quite a bit of Lina Inverse. I wonder if there was some unconscious inspiration there because I was asked to re-do the color of her clothing. Here are alternate (meaning, palette shifted) versions of Tao.

3. Number one was the original version and various versions thereafter were an attempt to either find a compramise or fully switch over to a cooler palette.
So, those are two commissions this month. I'm obviously running a little behind. AWA is coming up on me next week and I expect there'll only be some time for gathering what new prints I'll be taking there, getting keychains together, and packing. I hope to work on some sketches for
evildennis but one thing or another (last night I pulled a muscle in my back washing the dogs -_-; ) keeps me from really concentrating on it. Oh well! It'll just mean an extra push at the end of the month!
I'm excited to meet folks in Atlanta (some of them again for the first time!) I don't look forward to that brick wall of fatigue that always hits me in the middle of the day since yon bean took up camp in my belly. But I will persevere for I am Z and I am mighty! (etc, etc!) When I get table information, I'll be sure to share with stalkers! I doubt I'll be taking as many commissions this con, but hopefully print and keychain sales will make up for that. I need to at least clear travel/con costs!
Phew. Okay, so that's all the important stuff lately, I suppose. Back to life.
