And the first round is over! So, what did you think?

The first round of the Small Fandom Big Bang Challenge has come to a close, with eight stories posted, clocking in at over 100,000 words total!  Thank you to all of the authors who participated in the challenge and to all of the volunteers for their fabulous assists!

As you are all aware, this is the first challenge for myself and the SFBB team, and we'd love to get some feedback so we can make sure the next round of the challenge is even better.  To that end, a few questions:

Everyone: What was your favorite part of the challenge?  Your least favorite part?  If you could change anything about the challenge (er, aside from the website running more smoothly -- we all want that:), what would it be?

Authors: When did you first start writing?  Would you have started earlier and/or worked faster if there had been an earlier deadline?  Did you struggle to meet the deadlines?  What did we do that helped you the most with your writing?  What could we have done to help you more?

Volunteers: Did you enjoy your job?  If so, why (so we can spread the love); if not, what could we have done to change that (since everyone should be having fun here)?  We're planning on completely overhauling the volunteer process for the next round, so any general suggestions for improving the volunteer aspect of the SFBB would be greatly appreciated.

And, of course, the other question: if there is anything you can think of that we should know, change, add, take away, or improve, please let us know!

Since I'm hoping this post will create some conversation, I'm leaving the comments unscreened.  Anonymous comments are enabled, however, and feel free to e-mail me directly at janethunder at gmail dot com if you'd feel more comfortable responding that way.
