Finally. They were finally at the orphanage. Alphonse looked up at the building before glancing back at the police car. They were still there, waiting. Alphonse was pretty sure they were just going to make sure that he didn't try to go anywhere else. Frowning, Alphonse shook his head and headed up the steps, inside the building. It was old looking, but it was at least in good repair.
He could hear the voice of the police officer that had picked him up at the interview room earlier, likely talking to the person who ran the orphanage. Hopefully he wouldn't be here long. Al wasn't sure how a getting a new family made him feel at all, he still very much believed at least his brother was still alive. The documents he'd been given earlier were held tightly in one gloved hand, at Alphonse's side. When he got the chance, he'd have to look them over.
The first thing Al wanted to do however, was get some sleep. It was likely that it would be a while. Eventually, when the talking didn't stop, Alphonse took a seat on a wooden bench and glanced up towards the ceiling. Brown eyes fixed on a small light fixture that had 5 bulbs. Only three of them were lit, leaving the room poorly illuminated for this time of night. Alphonse yawned quietly, one hand raising to cover his mouth out of politeness.
"It won't be so bad here. That man did say it would only be one night." It was a comforting thought. Alphonse was sure he wouldn't want to stay here too long. After a moment, Alphonse's eyes shut. He was tired, and no one could blame him if he took a small nap. It'd been a long day, after all.
