Well, summer's nearly at an end. I've got a week of freedom left, although it doesn't feel that free because I'm spending it obsessing over my lesson plans and trying to predict every one of the ten thousand ways I will fail as a student teacher, from kids falling asleep in class to becoming one of those teachers you see on the news who's accused of molesting his students. Of course, every once in a while I realize that I'm being far too neurotic and that everything will work out great as long as I actually give it my best shot. Which I'm going to. Probably.
Seeing everyone from the past four years at Byrnes' Gameworks party was kind of depressing, until Byrnes asked if my house will have a room for people to crash in on the weekends. That reminded me that even though these people are living in different towns, some of which are in different states, they'll still be willing to drive down to par-tay. And who could blame them, with such an expert mixologist as myself tending bar?
There are still two concerts to attend before I get back to school. I think I've been more active these last two weeks than I have all summer combined. Apparently the folks back home have been as well, with both my siblings going out of state in the same week. Crazy kids.
And speaking of crazy kids, I've got some Animaniacs to watch!
