Amon Amarth

Went to the Amon Amarth show at the Showbox last night and I have to say it was one of the best live shows I have seen. It was on the same level as Pink Floyd's Momentary Lapse of Reason tour and Iron Maiden's Powerslave tour and yet unlike those shows this one was not at an arena. I think part of it is that they (Amon Amarth) are great showmen in ( Read more... )

It goes. How is it in Seattle? For some odd reason I am convinced that you are dating again, is this true?

Dating?! the_wolflord April 29 2011, 00:08:46 UTC
Right now there is only room in my heart for myself, my friends, my Jeep, my metal, and a very old Manx kitty cat that decided I was her human. So no, no dating for me. :P

I am shocked that that Jeep is still functional my friend. It seems that it was a fine investment after all. I was worried when you wanted to take it to Seattle but I am glad that sucker is still running for ya.

I guess I have just had so many of the people (And by many I am of the few that I actually do interact with) either get involved, engaged or out right married while I remained single, I I just threw you into that status by default.

You get a new gig?

Heh heh, yeah that Jeep was a good investment, I managed to break even (after all the various repairs are taken into account) when I sold it a while back. I had almost finished redoing the interior, only had the carpet and that torn seat to replace and I would have been finished. After I sold it I turned around and bought another Jeep…a Cherokee as I needed more room to be able to carry stuff around. So yeah, thanks for the trade it really worked out well for me and I appreciate it. :)

As to the dating thing most of the folks I know here are married or in long term relationships so I feel ya’ as far as being the “odd man out” goes. And for the record I don’t have anything against dating, I just don’t have the inclination to make the time for it at the moment…more important things to worry about.

Yeah I did start a new job this week, entry level but after two lay-offs last year I am just happy for the work!
How about you, still doin’ the support gig?

Yup. Customer support. It really is going to be the death of me my friend. I have done it for so long that my tolerance level is atomically thin.

I an glad to hear that you are working, even if it is not at the level you deserve to be working at.

I wish I had more exciting news to share but once again it is just a testament to the banality of my existence.

Hopefully Seattle is rocking out for you.
