Ode to Sara Palin
It seems that the “momma grizzly” has taken umbrage to the suggestion that rhetoric filled with what could be seen as violent images and or references, like the “surveyor’s symbols” on her election map and her slogan of “Don’t retreat, reload!”, might be a contributing factor to the types of violence we saw directed at the congresswoman from Arizona this weekend. In her words:
“We will not be stopped from celebrating the greatness of our country and our foundational freedoms by those who mock its greatness by being intolerant of differing opinion and seeking to muzzle dissent with shrill cries of imagined insults.”
Indeed.
