[Her voice grows softer, she seems worried, and upset] The scent...it's gone...she must be somewhere else...did I leave her somehow?

But how could I leave the forest with the army surrounding us?

There was an army surrounding the area I was in before coming here. They couldn't come in there, and we couldn't leave because of them.

Well, you're still kind of in a forest, but I really doubt that the only army you're in any 'danger' of is the SOS Brigade... and only if you're like... an alien or something...

I dunno... Haruki's kinda nuts so... probably expecting to see the big eyes, pale skin stereotype... Though, I guess anyone who says they came from 'an alien world' would get his attention too.

No... not originally. I mean, I kind of do now, but, it's a genetic thing. Where I'm from, people like me are hunted down for... science.

I understand that well. I didn't want to kill anyone until I found myself being attacked all the time and people I cared about died for my sake.
