"Halt, intruder! Who *hic!* goes there??" Something abruptly buzzes into Spider's face, her wings making a sound like a giant angry hornet and her optics so crossed it's a wonder she can see where she's going at all.

"It's Spider," he says, fighting the urge to swat at the wingy thing in his face.

"Is there someone sober we can speak to?" asks Gate.

-They're... drunk? How can a droid, a robot, be drunk?- T3 is confused.

As it is, there are other Stardroids around, as Mars looks over from moving some supplies to the ship's cargo hold. "Yeah? Whaddya want?"

"Itsy bitsy spider went up the *hic!* water spout.... What was I getting energy for, Mars?" Wingnut forgets the visitors and goes over to buzz the Stardroid. She KNOWS she was bringing this for a purpose... something about a technical difficulty? But she'll be darned and mended if she can remember now what that was.

"Slag if I know," says Mars. "I've just been moving crates. Mercury an Jupiter were workin on the power systems, maybe they know."

Gate briefly wonders why he came here, but reminds himself he doesn't know anyone else with a spaceship. Though he's tempted to just go to the main part of the Nexus and see if any space pirates are for hire.

-Are we being ignored?- asks T3, thinking of ways to get attention if they are.

"Ahem. We do have something to discuss that might interest you," says Gate. "If there's someone in charge that we could speak to."

"Yeah, sure... I'll see if Terra's busy," says Mars, and resumes hauling the crate inside.

"*hic!* I should go and ask them. After I remember where they are." Wingnut settles on Mars' crate and starts a bonafide insane giggling fit, her tiny goblin laughter seeming to echo slightly.

Mars will just drag her into the ship along with the crate, and let Terra know they have company. While Terra goes to talk to the 'earthers' and find out what they want, Mars looks around for Mercury or Jupiter.

They're in the main area, checking over the finished wiring again, and trying to get a modified power system to work... it's not easy adapting another universe's tech to run on power sources available in your own.

Off goes Wingnut! Hovering in front of Mercury. "I have en-er-gy! But I can't remember what you wanted it for. *hic*"

Mercury only blinks at her for half a second before grabbing a nearby wire with a bare end and holding it out to her.

"Oh yeah!" She grabs it and lets loose with her charge.

The onboard power systems power up, Mercury reaches to flip the main breaker, and the ship lights come on... except some of the ones to the front. Jupiter checks a couple connections and a moment later those are on as well. They can finally put away the portable LED lanterns.

It's about then that Terra comes back. Although he has some reluctance about letting non-Stardroids on their ship - Wingnut being an exception due to her connections to them - he has to admit they have an interesting proposition. And so, he's let Gate, Spider, and T3 on board to present their case to the other Stardroids...

Nyx, meanwhile, peaks her head out of her room and grins. "The lights are on!"

"No @#$#@$@#, Sherlock!" Wingnut giggles and makes like shining fingernails she hasn't got on her scrawny little chest, then zips over to settle on Terra's head and look at the visitors.

Terra decides the least undignified option is to pretend he hasn't got a Sewercon in his hair. By that point, Mercury and Pluto are also looking at the visitors, as is Nyx. Terra looks to the other Stardroids first. "Are the modifications and repairs now complete?"

"Yes, sir," says Jupiter.

T3 barely manages not to make some comment at that, much amused. Repairs on this model of ship, if he was right in recognizing the central section, were never really done.

"Good," says Terra. "It seems an opportunity has presented itself for a test flight, among other things."

"Test flight where?" asks Wingnut from her comfortable nest. "What do these guys want?"

-We want you to steal a scrap barge- bweeps T3.

"We were talking with T3 here about how his kind gets disposed of when their owners don't want 'em any more and can't sell 'em," says Spider. "Or when they're damaged too much for them to think it's cost effective to fix 'em. They load 'em up in a barge with recyclable garbage and send 'em off to worlds that specialize in melting stuff down for scrap."

"My primary interest is rescue in this case, and possibly scanning any interesting technology," adds Gate. "After which you can keep anything that isn't a droid."
