Shiny!
A few days ago, there'd been a 'girls day out' trip to the Nexus Mall, coupled with clothes shopping for some of the kids. Alia had gone. Which was how Gate had heard about a new junk store there that seemed to have odds and ends from various universes. And since some of those odds and ends were technological in nature, he'd gone to check it out at the first reasonable opportunity.
And he'd found something. He wasn't entirely sure what it was, yet, other than an opportunity to study another universe's technology. The shopkeeper hadn't known either, other than to say they thought it was some sort of robot. And that it didn't work. Probably a drone, since the idea of anything sentient looking like this - or ending up in a junk store for that matter - strikes Gate as too ridiculous to consider. But it was interesting, nonetheless. Gate figures, if he can't eventually repair it it might make a nice endtable.
Since his home and lab have been moved to Mars, and since he'd rather start work closer to the Nexus Library so that he can try to determine the origins of his new find, Gate's heading towards the Repair Building near the Warehouse.
The T3 utility droid he's lugging along is a bit awkward to carry. It's not the weight, at least not for him. It's the shape. Right now, he has it by one of the legs.
