Why does disaster attract houseguests?

Pluto and Nyx are leading someone else back to the warehouse. Well, not all the way to the warehouse, tho they do pass by the giant metool and a few batontons perched in trees. They're heading towards the repair building.

The Autobot following them is very happy about where they're going, though he gets distracted by the metool and the batontons. Scanbar has to remember that they're going somewhere important, so he pulls himself away from the tempting scanning opportunities and keeps his course on the straight and narrow. After the promise he made, he knows he ought to try not to look too flighty.

On the other hand, Nyx is right there (he makes a note to get her name in a minute). "What are those?" he asks her, optics bright with interest. He doesn't know what Sellout was ever worried about. The Nexus seems fine to him.

"Those are batontons, and the big thing's a giant metool. There are little ones too, but that's the biggest one ever. But they're just drones."

The main room in the repair building has several CRs arranged around the walls. A few 'bots - two of them designed to look like human children and the third like an older human - are in the room, making sure everything is in order in case things in their universe take a turn for the worse.

"Drones are interesting too," he assures her, looking around the room. Anyone who looks his way gets a friendly wave in greeting, and then he catches sight of the CRs and is off to take a look.

"By the way," he says, turning to face his new friends and continuing to walk, only backwards, "I should have asked your names by now. Mine's Scanbar."

He's not going to bump anything; it's more dangerous than it looks.

"I'm Pluto, and the sparkling is Nyx."
