Yesterday in a thread Tomo mentioned Hirosue Ryoko to Waya! In the manga, Tomo grows her hair long in volumes 2-3 to resemble Mine Fujiko, but then at the end of volume 3 she cuts it because she realizes she could never be Fujiko, but she could still be Hirosue Ryoko. lol. (I think the anime changes this to Hamasaki Ayumi? I remember someone mentioning to me once that Tomo is a fan of hers in canon, but afaik this doesn't occur in the manga at all, so I guess they just swapped the name out, unless it's mentioned in a totally different anime-only scene.) Anyway I decided to Google her and see what she looks like and here she is. THERE'S TOTALLY A RESEMBLANCE RIGHT? . . . RIGHT GUYS
I have this urge to redo all Tomo's icons as manga-only and colorized like my Negima chicas and Greed and Shirl, but then I remember there are icons like the chin tweak and the shrug that have no manga equivalent. ;________; STILL, I feel the urge to swap some out. Iunno. What I really need is MOAR ICON SLOTZZZZZ
ETA having had my fun with Google image search, Hirosue is definitely a better match for Tomo than Hamasaki is. wtf anime.
