NANO!!!!
For the first time since I've heard of it and joined I won NaNoWriMo! *squeesqueesquee*
Yes, I am a colossal nerd. But still, yay! *kermit flail*
I hit 51389 this morning around 5am, because the difference between the word counters on Write or Die, Word, and then the NaNo site were quite varied and I did a few hundred extra just to pad. By WoD's count I was just a little over 50k. (Side note: I would not have gotten done without WoD. Unlike all my previous attempts, this year I did most of my writing straight from the keyboard without writing it out longhand first. It's still not my favorite way to write, but it did get the job done.)
I was worried that I would once again fall a few thousand under the count because I hardly wrote during my Thanksgiving trip and there were a few days I didn't get my 1667 in. Thank goodness for the pad I built in the first couple of days. And also for clearing out some of the prompts I had tucked in folders and the back of my brain. I'm not sure if any of these stories will come to anything, and a few aren't done, but I'm just happy to have something to show for my time.
