on friday morning,
bry and i went wii hunting. after striking out at Best Buy, Electronics Boutique, and HMV, i decided to buy some $5.99 dvds at the HMV. and, lo and behold, while i was paying, a delivery guy truck in some boxes through the front door. at bry's urging, i asked an employee to see if there were any wiis - and there were! some notes:
- i got carried away and created a bunch of
miis for us, our friends, our family, and generally anyone who i thought might come over and play at some point and would enjoy a reasonable approximation of themself. it was ridiculously fun.
- i bowled a 222 game in wii bowlling.
- i scored 28 years old on my first attempt at wii fitness (which, it seems, is pretty decent). i hit 5 home runs on 8 swings.
- i bought marvel: ultimate alliance, which is a pure
button masher.
- i borrowed a bunch of gamecube games from
nathan, which i can't play because - despite the fact that i have both a wiitroller and a classic controller - can only be played with a gamecube controller.
- i haven't figured out how to get my wii online yet and buy mario 64, which, sadly, is the only game currently available to download on the
virtual console that i'm at all interested in right now. i'll just be hoping that every new-game-monday will bring the original baseball stars to me...
