Hmm..supah fast!
We did our Christmas stuff yesterday since my brother Dan is working Wed to Sat nights. I got a 2 GB RAM upgrade, and when we opened up the memory bay, we discovered that I had a 1 bay 1 GB already, not the 2 bays of 512 MB that we expected.
So I now have 3 GB of RAM on my notebook. It's unbelievable!
I'm in a coffee shop 3 blocks from my parents house and just finished doing Pedal late billing. Folks, Grandma and uncle are out for a walk. This evening is Christmas Eve service at my parents church.
The most satisfying (for me) gift exchange last night was giving my mom a candleboard that I had made, that fits the white candles from the Xmas Eve service. The candles are about 8 inches long, and at the end of the service are thrown out even though they have only burned about 1 inch - so our family typically takes them all home and we have several hundred. But they are a smaller diameter (1/2") than dinner table candles, so don't fit onto my mom's current candle board.
We all met Steph, Dan's girlfriend who goes to school in NY last night. He seems quite happy right now.
Saw Aremy and Alex before they flew out to Austrailia on Sunday night. They come by the house and we drank tea and played card games for 2 hours.
Yesterday, Tuesday, Ryland, Shayna, Franny, Emmet and I all got together here in the cities. 'Twas grand. We've grown older, but I don't think any of us have changed in significant ways over the past 3-4 years.
Tomorrow, we're not doing any of our "normal" Christmas shtick so we're going to go out to a state park for the day - probably Wild River. I hope to do a lot of cross country skiing, which I haven't done in +2 years. Maybe since Alex and I stayed at Lake Maria in Jan '06?
Parents gifted me a wireless router for the apartment, which will be grand and I'm sure Danielle (roomie) and I will enjoy mucho.
