I have some sad news to report. Mary Jackson (Miss Emily Baldwin) died on December 10th. We've lost both of the Baldwin sisters now. :(

Stage, film and TV actress Mary Jackson, who played Miss Emily Baldwin on "The Waltons," died in Hollywood Dec. 10. She was 95.
Born in Milford, Mich., Jackson taught school briefly before leaving Milford to pursue a theater career.
Through the 1940s and 50s, she worked in summer stock and on Broadway as well as stage productions in Chicago and Los Angeles. On Broadway, Jackson appeared in shows including "Kiss & Tell," "Eastward in Eden," "The Flowering Cherry" and "The Trial of the Canonsville Nine."
She worked primarily on TV through the 1950s and 60s, appearing in shows including "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," "My Three Sons," "The Andy Griffith Show" and "Barnaby Jones." She was best known for her role as Miss Emily on "The Waltons" which ran from 1971-1982. She also appeared in several Waltons specials which were produced until 1997.
Starting in the 1970s, she performed in feature films, including the roles as Jane Fonda's mother in "Fun with Dick and Jane, " a nun in the first "Airport" movie and roles in "Blume in Love" and "Coming Home."
Jackson was a member of the Screen Actors GuildScreen Actors Guild, the Motion Picture Academy, Actors Equity and AFTRAAFTRA.
Though she suffered with Parkinson's disease in later years, she worked regularly on film projects until a stroke in 1997 made speech more difficult.
She survived by a goddaughter and godson.

In other news, I hope everyone here is well & that everybody has a happy and safe holiday season! I watched "The Homecoming" for my 3rd time, I think, a couple days ago. That's such a warm story. I'm glad I managed to find a copy of it.
