Put on your yamulkahs...
...and do that Hebrew thing. Tuesday night was enlightening. Yamulkahs, Hebrew prayers, traditional dishes - all of which I can allow myself as Judaism is the root of my own religious beliefs. Things went really well - I was made to feel part of the family; as it was Taryn, her parents, her two grandmothers and I, it's just as well :)
Went to see Valiant with Taryn, Jen and Gerlinde last night - actually thoroughly enjoyable, a movie in the Chicken Run mould with the voice talents of amongst others Rik Mayal (Young Ones), Hugh Laurie (Black Adder) and John Cleese.
On the bad side, Dad was diagnosed with cancer yesterday and Mom is next in line to have surgery to see what's wrong with her (their symptoms are similar). It's all going to be very uncomfortable, time-consuming and hideously expensive.
