Hey everyone,
Well, it seems that Unity Skate Shop have dropped all the shows for To The Death and Modus Operenda due to the recent noise complaints. Here's individual band news:
To The Death
Well, we've had quite a number of band practice for To The Death of late. After our recent mini-hiatus, we've returned in full form as well as a new song, tentatively titled "Hurts Inside". The lyrics are from John's old band Silent Scorn and the music is completely new. The song is most intense and it's our favorite song we've ever written. Our manager Tony said that he would give us extra time in the studio to record a few cover songs if we wanted to put on the new album, and I think we've gracefully accepted. Here's the picks for the covers bonus disc (each member gets two songs):
Van Halen's "Jump" (Matt)
Ben E. King's "Stand By Me" (Matt)
Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher" (Evan)
Pantera's "Domination" (Evan)
The Doors's "The End" (Me)
I haven't quite figured out what other song I want to do and neither has John. It'll be a fun little extra for the record, which we're beginning work on again tomorrow. We're focusing badly on the record and our next show will hopefully be the release of our debut record, which is untitled so if you have any good ideas for titles, EMAIL them to me at:

Modus Operenda
Modus Operenda has been doing good as well. Despite having all our shows cancelled, we're quickly gaining them back. We're talking to the bands Ate (pronounced a-tay), Is Nothing Sacred, Only In Dreams, and Myotonia about playing those shows that were cancelled again. Also, we have a show in Oakland, CA at the Metro Theater for Friday, March 11th, 2005. Tickets are $8 and have to be bought in advance. We need to sell at least 50 tickets so approach one of the band members and ask us about it. Also, we're having a show with the bands Turbo A.C.'s, The 7 Shot Screamers, and Run Away Tim, all of Gearhead Records.
As far as a new song, we're in the process of our eighth song that will appear on the upcoming debut. The recording time is in March and we're extremely excited to get this record out. Nothing fancy about the record, just brutal metalcore. We're only putting the best of the best songs on this record and it'll will contain probably about 8-10 tracks.
Also, this has nothing to do with any bands of mine, but our good friends Diary Of are playing with legendary NYHC act 25 Ta Life this Sunday in Livermore at Magoo's Pizza. Please, go support them and see 25 Ta Life while it; it'll be an amazingly historic show.
So yeah, my girlfriend is gone this weekend so I am completely by myself this weekend as far as hanging out with people so hit me up if you want to hang out.
