Today was a snowday; a term I'd forgotten exsisted in the years that I've had no need to use it. And it's such a load of bollocks. I know it's been a while since we've had to deal with the snow but, left to the mercy of a few centimeters of slightly hard water, society all but collapsed. I went to get some lunch one of the campus bars at about 2 o'clock to find all the kitchens closed because of weather conditions, despite the presence of about 15 bar staff eating their lunch. I walked in looking like some abandoned lunatic covered in snow and dramatically sat completely alone facing a windown, placed all my stuff on my chair, walked over the bar only to be told to piss off through a mouthful of nachos by some bloke in a union T-shirt. So I made it my mission to eat something somewhat decadent and Matt joined me for a gourmet burger thing at Wetherspoons and it was the dogs. I got a Bon Iver EP to get into the spirit of the snow and Matt got a burial album which read "thank you" on the inside sleeve.

Today was pretty much just an excuse to enjoy the snow. I'd left my phone somewhere (it was just by my bed) and so I was running on the clock on my zen which is an hour slow. When I was all dressed up to leave Matt asked why I was leaving so early. As far as I was aware I was leaving 20 minutes earlier than usual so I could go to the bank before my lecture. It was only when I asked the cashier for the time that I realsed just how I early I had left and how insane I must have looked to Matt. At least my new boots got to fulfill their potential.

I read from the memoirs of Carl Jung for a little presentation I've got tomorrow. I read a section where he describes his friendship with Sigmund Freud. He made himself sound very rational and Frued a complete nutter.

We watched Little Miss Sunshine and the ending was as disturbing as ever.
