so two weeks ago, roughly, my parents and i sat down and hashed out a plan for us to work together as a family to get our weight under control. as an incentive, each of us picked one "thing" that we wanted when we reached our goal weight. my dad will buy himself a pair of thousand dollar cowboy boots. my mom wants a wardrobe that consists of floaty, fitted, feminine dresses that show off her newly sculpted assets.





at 150 lbs., this is mine. ( i KNOOOOW. )

it's a ways off, but i am pumped. i am also scared. with my new bike on it's way this evening, i have a better method of transportation to work. i think i'd like to find other people who are already members at the y or who have any desire whatsoever to go hiking/biking/whatever otherwise to work with in town.. hint, hint.. but even without, i am excited to get to work. can i say goodbye to pizza binges? take out thai/indian/chinese? fruity, syrupy martinis?

this is something that all of us need to work on - all of us, meaning me, my dad, and my mom. and i think that as a unit, we'll give one another direction, inspiration, and reinforced willpower.

any suggestions/support my lj friends wanna give would be cool, too. :D
