(no subject)
Things have been really weird but good.
Grandpa's surgery went off without a hitch. I think that tomorrow they get the results back letting us know if the cancer was in any other place besides the bladder area, but I'm not sure. Grandma finally had to admit she couldn't care from him any more now that he's no longer able to walk (due to the surgery) and he's in a Alzheimer's care facility. He's actually doing really well there.
He had previously been in a regular rehab place that he did NOT do well at...he hit somebody and was constantly trying to get out the doors, mainly because the people there weren't equipped to deal with someone who has severe memory problems.
I had an interview a couple weeks ago for a position in a new store that's opening up in April. Last week I got a rejection notice so I (obviously) wrote it off. Then yesterday, while I was at the movies, I got a call from the company asking me if I was still interested in the position. The guy was gone by the time I called back last night, so I called again this morning and they asked me to come in today for a second interview.
So I got there and I sat around for a bit talking to another girl who said she had the same thing happened to her (rejection letter, then a call yesterday asking her for another interview) then as guy came up to me and asked my name. Then he introduced himself and instantly said, "Congratulations, you got the job."
Of course I was completely surprised and I had to re-do my application because it had expired in the system. (That might have had something to do with my rejection notice...the other girl said her application had to be re-done because it was expired as well..) Then I went and did my drug test and now I'm just waiting for that and the background check to go through before I am 100% officially hired and I can do my paperwork and start my training but
I am so frickin happy!
