Thought I'd just share an update on my little games world.
I've finished GTA: San Andreas (well, I've seen the end credits) and it's left me strangely underwhelmed. Vice City and GTA3 I was content to cruise around for ages listening to music, but this... it's just not quite as interesting. And there still isn't a raising bridge to jump over!!! The Lemmings rooftop is quite cute though.
I'm still replaying Psychonauts and Doom 3, and am ploughing through the bloody-hard Professional mode on Resident Evil 4. Normal Mode was hard enough. Still love it, although it's causing twice as many swearwords as my first run through.
Fahrenheit (or Indigo Prophecy for those in the States, although why is another matter) is getting me strangely excited and I'll be getting it on Friday. A movie that you can literally live through, choosing the paths your characters take, so that you can experience the same story different ways, with you calling the shots? Sounds very intriguing and original to me, and that's what I like. Combine that with characters you can relate to and feel for and great acting (at least that's what the reviews say), and I'm sure I'll love it. I know I liked The Nomad Soul (the developer's last epic game), even though I got stuck in it and never completed it.
I'm also getting excited about F.E.A.R. and Shadow The Hedgehog (although that's a legal requirement for me). I'm still not sure about From Russia With Love, but I'll give EA some slack.
Then there's Quake IV, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Black & White 2, The Movies... and, of yes, Bone! A fun little adventure based on the bestselling comic! From the makers of Sam & Max: Freelance Police! Out this month! Woo!
What did you call me?
